THE WESCOTT VISION FOR OUR FUTURE

"As a working-class mother and a proud member of this community, I am dedicated to serving the people of Walla Walla. My campaign is built on the belief that we must prioritize our local needs—ensuring that essential services like healthcare, education, and emergency services are safeguarded. Together, we can create sustainable solutions that benefit our families and future generations."
KEY ISSUES
Community Development:
We need to focus on developing self-sustaining community centers that serve as hubs for community resources. Our County needs to reinvest in opportunities and training for small businesses to have a fair start, this serves to provide more jobs and thriving city centers where future generations know they can work and live. While also focusing on education, healthcare, and social services. It’s essential to revitalize our commercial areas while ensuring that your voices are heard in the process.
Healthcare:
Access to healthcare shouldn't feel like a privlage, when we all know it is a necessity of life. Our healthcare workers deserve respect and honor. When we put the needs of our Healthcare workers on the back burner, we are putting the health of our whole County on the back burner. Ensuring that our healthcare facilities have the funding they need ensures that our residence can get the care they need.
Environmental Protection:
Protecting our natural resources is vital for future generations. I am committed to sustainable practices that preserve Walla Walla’s beauty while promoting ecological responsibility and sharing resources with all Walla Walla County residents on how they can help preserve and protect our fragile ecosystem for future generations. What we do today, shapes the world that we leave for our great grandchildren.
Education:
Every child deserves a quality education. I will advocate for increased funding for our schools and support programs that empower our educators and provide necessary resources to students.
Public Safety:
We must prioritize the safety of our community by addressing mental health and the drug crisises affecting our neighbors. By creating reform programs and having more rehabilitation services available we can work together to keep our communities safer and healthier. It is no secret that our County jail and juvenile detention facilities need upgrades and over site, haven been left unchecked have not provided opportunity of criminal reform, which woild only secure the public safety. My vow is to always support our fire departments and emergency services to ensure they have what they need in order to continue to be efficient and effective.
